If you’re looking for total immersion in Spanish, our intensive courses are the perfect option for you. We offer in-person Spanish courses of 2, 3, or 4 academic hours (each lasting 50 minutes) per day. These courses are held in small groups and take place every Monday to Friday in the morning. With these courses, you’ll have the opportunity to improve your Spanish quickly and progressively, while also meeting people from all around the world.

The course is designed for all levels and is available throughout the year. If there’s an open course and your level matches the group, you can join at any time during the year. After completing one level, you’ll automatically advance to the next, ensuring continuous progress in your learning. Moreover, if for any reason you can’t attend the course due to illness, travel, etc., we provide the option to join your class live online from anywhere, so you won’t lose your progress.

Our intensive course consists of the first 2 hours of general Spanish + 1 hour of conversation + 1 hour of reinforcement. You can choose to study 2, 3, or 4 hours daily, based on your availability and learning objectives. You can also adjust the duration of the course according to your needs, whether you prefer to study for weeks or months. The minimum course duration is 1 week.

Our courses follow a communicative and participatory methodology that will immerse you in Spanish from day one, as all of our courses are taught in Spanish. We reinforce all language skills: reading, writing, speaking, listening, mediation, cultural content, as well as grammar and vocabulary in context.

At the end of the course, you’ll receive a Certificate of Attendance, and if you meet the minimum attendance requirement of 85% and pass the final exam, you’ll also receive a Certificate of Achievement.

Intensive Spanish course

  • Number of academic hours:

    from 2 to 4 per day, from Monday to Friday, during the mornings, between 09.00 and 14.00.

  • Courses begin:

    Every Monday. Please ask in case you are an absolute beginner.

  • Ideal for you if:

    you wish to acquire a good level of Spanish within a short time.

    The 4-hour per day courses are specially designed for school groups, long-term students with a type D visa, or those looking for an immersive summer course.

  • Available levels :

    A1, A2, B1, B2, C1 and C2.

    Usually the lessons take place every day, Monday to Friday, between  9:00 AM to 14:00 PM.

    Level A1: September 15th, 2025, January 20th 2026.

    Level A1.2: September 15th, 2025.

    Level A2: October 6th, November 3rd 2025.

    Level B1: September 15th, 2025.

    Initial level test – free level test before the start of the course to place the student in the right group.

    Welcome pack – folder, notepad, pen, tourist information about Cartagena, Student Handbook with information about our school and the city.

    Course materials – book corresponding to your course level, complementary materials and digital resources to be used by the teacher in the classroom.

    Access to library resources and reference materials – grammar books, graded readings and other resources available on loan.

    Tutoring and counseling – our teachers are accessible to be consulted outside of class to resolve doubts (upon request).

    Coffee/tea maker and mineral water – so you can make your own coffee every day. Bring your own coffee capsules, just the way you like them.

    Cultural and integration activities – activities such as Café y tertulia, Vive España and some other events at the center.

    Wi-Fi – internet connection throughout the building.

    Certificate of attendance and/or achievement – document that certifies the dates and hours of the chosen course.

    Access to UPCT facilities – access to the UPCT consultation room in the main Antigones library, access to the cafeterias and study rooms of the UPCT.

  • *All the courses, except  the One to One lindividual lessons, require a minimum of three people per group (maximum of 10). The Foundation reserves the right to cancel a course or to change the schedule of the lessons if the number of students per group is lower than the minimum number required.
