OUR STUDENTS

WE LEAVE A MARK…

Since this project began, we have given Spanish tuition to more than 1000 pupils, from diverse nationalities and different parts of the world. We teach Spanish to almost 500 foreign students per year. The majority of our students come from Western Europe (England, France, Germany, Holland and Portugal) and Eastern Europe (Romania, Poland, Russia and Ukraine) but we have also noted a continued growth in interest from Asian, Brazilian and North-American students. The average age of our students is between 20 and 45, but we also have students under the age of 18 and over the age of 50.

The mixture of nationalities and ages makes Funcarele into a location with great diversity and cultural richness.

A large percentage of our students is made up of those who visit Cartagena on study trips, mainly during the months of February, March, April and May, as well as the Erasmus students of the Cartagena Polytechnic University, who are in the centre from October to January and from February to June. However, as the popularity of our language continues to grow, so too does the number of students who study Spanish for both professional and personal reasons throughout the year.
